Be an Ambassador

Ambassadors for the Kingdom

The Word says that we are to be ambassadors for Christ in this scripture:

“Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.” [2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭20‬ ‭NASB1995]‬‬

So by what we say and do, and by our attitude as we face different situations, we need to be cognizant of exemplifying the Fruits of the Spirit described in Gal 5:22,  living, acting, and reacting the way Jesus Christ would do. It’s the Holy Spirit that enables us to do that, it’s not something we can create of ourselves.

So just as we need to put on the Armor of God from Ephesians 6, we need to literally put on Christ (Romans 13:14), which doesn’t mean to put it on like “pretend”, but to really exemplify Jesus and all that we do, so as we go forward in being an ambassador, let us be conscious of that.

“The fruit of the Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control; against such things there is no law. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. [Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭22‬-‭23‬, ‭25‬-‭26‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬]

The Word says,

“But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.” [Romans‬ ‭13‬:‭14‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬], i.e., do not be a “carnal Christian, or allow any negative personality traits to ruin your witness. We all fall short, and may ‘lose it’ at times, but let’s look to the goal of carrying out our life in a truly Christ-like walk!. Amen? AMEN!

“Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.  [Colossians 3:14]
